Halton police bust two grow ops

(Updated) Halton police have busted a large-scale marijuana grow op.

Police raided two locations: one on Regional Road 25 in Oakville, and another on First Line in Milton. Police say the Milton address housed the grow op.

They seized approximately 800 marijuana plants, along with 250 grams of dried cannabis. Police also seized 5,000 tablets of steroids, 2 bottles of liquid testosterone, and about $5,000 in cash.

The drugs seized total over $850,000. 44-year old Rui Manuel da Silva has been arrested.

He faces numerous drug charges including possession and production of marijuana.
