Escaped man arrested

Hamilton police have recaptured the man who escaped their custody last week at the east end station.

They say they were told that Trevor Linklater, who was first arrested for a break and enter attempt was at an address on Cannon Street East on Friday.   So officers showed up and they were allowed into the home. Once inside they found Linklater hiding in the basement crawl space.

He was arrested without incident. The 24-year old has been charged with escape lawful custody and breach of probation.
