Wynne accepting of byelection results

The balance of power hasn’t changed. But the seats for each party down at Queen’s Park has. Friday, Premier Kathleen Wynne says Thursday night’s byelection result is a message from voters. The Liberals only held on to two seats out of the five up for grabs. And Wynne says that’s a clear sign people are angry over the costly and secretive way the Liberals cancelled two gas plants.
So it’s still a Liberal minority government but the numbers have changed slightly. With the NDP seeing the biggest gain. Their seat count grew by more than 10%, rising from 18 seats to 20 in the new legislative configuration. The Liberals dropped to 50, while the Progressive Conservatives added one seat, to reach 37.
