Father charged after child left in hot car

The father of a baby left in a hot car parked in Oakville on Sunday has now been charged with child abandonment.

A group of angry people confronted the father when the 9 month old was found sweating profusely and crying in the vehicle outside a Home Depot.

Someone in the parking lot alerted the store and the baby’s father came out after hearing an emergency announcement. The man is from Toronto, but his name hasn’t been released to protect the child’s identity.
