Fundraiser for Milton toddler left in hot car

The Milton community is holding a fundraiser for the family of a toddler who died after being left alone in a hot car.

Two-year old Maximus Huyskens died last month after being left alone in the family car for what police called, “a significant portion of the day.” He was in the care of his maternal grandmother at the time.

The car was parked outside his family’s townhouse. 51-year old Leslie McDonald of Milton has been charged with criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessaries of life.

The fundraiser is being held at the Milton Fairgrounds on Sunday July 28th.
