Benjamin Levin facing more child pornography charges

Former Ontario deputy education minister Benjamin Levin, is facing more charges in connection with a child pornography investigation, but he has been released on bail.
Levin, who was also on Premier Kathleen Wynne’s transition team when she took office earlier this year, is facing two new charges, in addition to the five laid on Monday. The latest charges of possessing child pornography and accessing child pornography were laid as the 61-year old appeared in court today for a bail hearing.
The University of Toronto professor was arrested earlier this week. Toronto police say the investigation began months ago, and is ongoing. It involves authorities in London, Ontario and New Zealand.
