Bosma family marks sad milestone

(Updated) It’s been one month since the disappearance of Ancaster father and husband Tim Bosma. His family is still too upset to talk about it on camera, but they are speaking out in written form this evening.
A little girl has been without her father an entire month now, that long since Sharlene Bosma has been able to wrap her arms around her husband Tim. The Bosma family shared an emailed statement with CHCH News:
“It is difficult to believe that it has been a month since Tim was taken from us. Thoughts and memories of him constantly flood our minds. We continue to be overwhelmed by the support and love we feel from everyone.”
“People everywhere are planting crabapple trees and bleeding heart plants in memory of Tim. We want to thank everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.”
As the Bosmas continue to mourn the loss of Tim, two men remain behind bars accused of first degree murder.
Dellen Millard and Mark Smich are the two men accused of murdering Bosma. It was exactly one month ago police allege the pair and possibly a third person went for a test drive with Bosma who was trying to sell his truck.
May 14th police found Bosma’s remains, burned beyond recognition on Millard’s farm in Ayr. Millard’s lawyer Deepak Paradkar says Millard is getting accustomed to his surroundings and mentally preparing himself for what’s about to happen. Millard may be presented the evidence Hamilton Police have collected, June 13th at his next court appearance.
“They will have forensic reports they will have police officer notes, witness statements, all of that prepared and provided to the crown to be provided to me.”
Millard’s lawyer says his client maintains he is innocent but some wonder why someone like Millard, who seems to have the financial means to seek bail, hasn’t yet.
“We have not ruled out going for bail at some point but we haven’t actively started preparing, We’ll do that when we get the evidence.”
Investigators say the accused allegedly made three calls to people selling trucks: one to Tim Bosma, another to a man in Etobicoke who described the pair as suspicious; and police say a third call was made to a Toronto man May 5th. That test drive never happened.
Hamilton Police say they’ve received 900 tips so far with 10 investigators checking up on those tips.
The Bosma family also said in a statement today that friends and family will be taking part in a half hour of cyber silence tonight between 9:30 and 10. It was at that time one month ago, that Tim was last seen by his family.
