VIA terror suspects in court

The two suspects in an alleged terror plot to derail a passenger train have appeared in court by video link.
Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, of Montreal and Raed Jaser, 35 of Toronto are accused of plotting to target a VIA rail train that runs between Toronto and New York.
Esseghaier says he wants to be represented by a lawyer who agrees the Qu’ran should be used as a “reference” in his case. He said he did not want a book written by humans.
His next appearance is set for June 3rd. Jaser’s next court appearance is June 25th.
