Rollover on Highway 405 sends 3 to hospital

Three women, said to be in their 60’s and 70’s, were taken to hospital after their Honda Civic rolled over on the westbound lanes of Highway 405 in Niagara-on-the-Lake Sunday night.

The crash happened just before 9:30 and closed the highway for nearly 6 hours between Stanley Avenue and the QEW. One of the women was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries. Another was taken there by ambulance, while the third was transported to the Niagara General Hospital. An investigation is underway.
