Oakville mayor testifies at gas plant probe

Updated video Oakville mayor Rob Burton testified before a provincial justice committee this morning on what he knew about the cancellation of the Oakville gas plant.

Yesterday energy minister Bob Chiarelli said for the first time that the cost of the cancellation could be higher than the $40 million it estimated. Today Burton said that in Oakville, the feeling is that the cost would have been much higher had the plant been built and had there been a disaster. We get more from Lisa Hepfner at Queen’s Park:
