Protesters must pay city of Brantford
A group of Six Nations protesters has been ordered to pay $350,000 to the city of Brantford by the end of March.
The payment was awarded by a judge last month for protests that disrupted construction sites around Brantford in 2007 and 2008. The city successfully obtained an injunction against protests stopping construction at 10 sites. The protestors claim the developments were on disputed lands. as a result of the protests, one of the developers left town and sued the city.
