Police investigate St. Catharines stabbing

A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed several times in St. Catharines Saturday morning.

Niagara Regional Police and Niagara EMS responded to the area of Queenston Street and Haynes Avenue after the man called 911 just before 7 am.

The man was then taken to St. Catharines General Hospital where he was deemed to be in stable condition.

Police say the suspect is known to the victim and that this was not a random act. Police are continuing their investigation.
