Man dead after Hamilton stabbing

A man has died in hospital after an apparent stabbing in central Hamilton just before 8 Thursday night.

Homicide detectives spent the night and several hours Friday morning inside an apartment at 6 Tisdale Street South near King Street. Police won’t speculate on a possible motive. Homicide detectives have been interviewing neighbours as they try to determine the circumstances that led to a fight between two men. They say it’s too early in the investigation to release many details. Investigators say they have not made any arrests. The dead person is a 34 year old Burlington resident. The name is being withheld until extended family members are contacted.
