A man has been arrested for the murder of Kera Freeland, whose body was found in a ditch in Caledon in 2011.

Freeland disappeared from her Toronto apartment in January 2011 and her body was discovered in a ditch on Heart Lake Road two months later. Her death was ruled a homicide, and as a result of the investigation the OPP and Calgary police have arrested her former roommate, 35 year old Christopher Andronakos. He has been charged with second-degree murder. Freeland was originally from Calgary before moving to Toronto where she worked as an escort.
