Nesting, if you didn’t know, is the stage of pregnancy where a woman prepares for new child. Sometimes it involves obsessive cleaning, extreme organizing and marathon cooking.

But a new study out of McMaster University says these tendencies aren’t irrational at all. They’re evolutionary. Elise Copps has the story.
