Welland man dies after Monday crash

A Welland man involved in a fiery crash Monday night has died from his injuries in a Buffalo hospital.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was in the car with three other people when the car spun out of control on an icy stretch of Schisler Road in Niagara Falls.

It crashed into some trees and burst into flames. Everybody managed to get out of the burning car, with the help of a Niagara Regional Police officer, but the victim’s leg was badly mangled. He succumbed to his injuries Thursday.
