Layton’s widow hit with facial paralysis

In a surprising tweet this morning, Olivia Chow, NDP MP and widow of Jack Layton, announced she’s been diagnosed with a viral infection that’s left part of her face paralyzed.

A short time later she called a news conference to stop any rumours of serious illness before they began. Kate Carnegie was there.
