Ford suit dropped

Justice John Macdonald threw out a $6 million lawsuit against the mayor yesterday launched by restaurant owner George Foulidis.

The suit centred on Ford’s remarks about a leasing deal between the city and Foulidis’s company.

Macdonald ruled that the comments did not mention Foulidis by name and couldn’t be found defamatory, since they were not necessarily aimed at him.
