Customer rattles robber

Police say a customer scared off a robbery suspect at a convenience store in east Hamilton.

It happened just after midnight on King Street East near Ottawa Street. The suspect had told the clerk he had a weapon, but panicked and ran off empty handed after a customer drove up to the store.
