Fatal crash on 403 near Mavis

A woman is dead after a crash that closed all lanes of the 403 westbound at Mavis Road in Mississauga.

Just after 9 Wednesday night, a car rear-ended a construction vehicle that was on the right shoulder.

Firefighters worked for about half an hour to remove the woman from the car.

The 34 year old later died in hospital.

Her name hasn’t been released yet.

Two construction workers who were in the back of the pickup truck were hurt, while a third managed to jump out of the way just before the crash.
