Car into Fort Erie store

Shoppers at an Avondale store in Fort Erie got quite the scare Wednesday morning when a car plowed through the front windows.

The crash happened around 9am at the corner of Gilmore Street and Central Avenue.

No one was injured inside the store and the woman driving the car is expected to be ok.

The Avondale store will remain closed while structural engineers assess the damage.
