Welland knife assault

A 42 year old man from Welland is facing charges following an overnight knife attack.

Police found Ronald Sawyer bleeding profusely after being allegedly stabbed in the head at around 1am.

The victim claimed to have been attacked by an unknown group of assailants, but upon further investigation, police believe he had been lying.

Sawyer has since been charged with assault and public mischief.

38 year old Janice Draper has also been charged with aggravated assault.
