Man killed in Burlington driveway

A 69-year old man is dead after being run over by the family SUV in Burlington.

The tragedy happened on Maple Crossing Boulevard just after 7 pm Monday night. Neighbours who watched in horror tell CHCH News the man was standing near the vehicle when it suddenly went into reverse and sped across the street before slamming into another house.

Residents say the 17-year old driving at the time was just learning how.
An 18-year old woman was also hit but released from hospital. Police say all three lived in the same home.
