Murder-suicide in Halton

Ontario’s Special investigations Unit is confirming the identity of the couple killed in a Georgetown murder-suicide on Saturday.

The SIU confirms the couple as Dave and Debra Allen.

Debra was known as the Principal of Beatty-Fleming Senior Public School in Brampton.

Police say it appears the man shot her, before turning the gun on himself.

The incident happened on Hillside Drive in Georgetown.

The school where Debra worked will fly the flag at half-mast Monday and is bringing in a critical response team to help students and staff.
