Truck crash on QEW

There were no injuries Sunday afternoon, after a tire blew on a transport causing the truck to veer out of control in Hamilton.

The truck, in the Toronto-bound lanes of the QEW at Woodward Avenue, took out several metres of guardrail and a road sign.

Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.

The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Transportation were called to help with the clean-up.

Two lanes of the QEW were closed for several hours.
