Burlington assault

Halton police are looking for four men, after a 20-year-old man was assaulted trying to stop a thief who stole the backpack of a woman he was sitting with near Brant Street and Ghent Avenue in Burlington.

The assault happened just after midnight on September 23rd, when a man approached the pair and stole the backpack containing some money and the woman’s identification.

The victim chased down the man, but 3 other people got out of a nearby car and helped the suspect, leaving the victim with minor injuries.

All four suspects are described as black males in their 20’s and were wearing dark clothing.

The first suspect is described as having short hair.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model, black, four door sedan.
