Parade for swimmer

Norfolk County is throwing a parade for the lady of the lake.

The parade for 14-year-old Annaleise Carr will take place in Simcoe on Labour Day.

Last weekend, Carr swam across Lake Ontario in a 27-hour swim, raising money for Camp Trillium.

The parade begins at Wellington Park and will end at the Norfolk County fair grandstand.

Following presentations, the public is invited to meet Annaleise.

Donations to Camp Trillium will be accepted.

She’s managed to help raise over $130,000 for the children’s retreat.
