Date set for inquest

A inquest date has been set after an inmate died at the Brantford jail.

Robert Clause died March 14th of last year.

He was in custody on a first degree murder charge for allegedly killing Devon Anthony in a drug deal dispute.

The mandatory inquest will begin on September 10th, and is expected to last two weeks, during which the jury will hear from about 27 witnesses.

The inquest will also give the jury the chance to make recommendations to prevent similar deaths.
