Magda property sold

The waterfront property owned by a convicted thief in Port Dalhousie has been sold for $300,000.

The piece of land was sold to a neighbour at an auction in a St.Catharines courtroom.

Lucy Magda’s property was seized to help pay for a $2.2 million judgment to the former owners of the St. Catharines Standard.

Magda was convicted for stealing money from the newspaper over a five year period.

She was sentenced to 34 months behind bars.
