Hamilton Paramedic passes away

The medical community and media are mourning the passing of long-time paramedic Tim Spence.

The 57 year old passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The cause of death has not been released.

Fellow paramedics, dispatchers, nurses, doctors and reporters who dealt with him at accident scenes say Tim Spence was always professional.

He was recognized for his volunteer work with the City of Hamilton United Way and also received the Governor General of Canada award for exemplary service.
