Arrest in Welland abduction

Police have arrested a 47 year old man after a six year old girl was abducted in Welland.

She was with her 14 year old sister Monday afternoon, when a man walked away with her.

Her mother found them and called police.

Brian Jarvis faces a number of charges including abduction.

Police say he knew the child’s family.
