OMB decision upsets residents

A group on Hamilton’s west mountain is upset with a decision by the Ontario Municipal Board.

The OMB is going to allow a developer to build 529 condos and town houses on the Chedoke Brow lands near Scenic Drive.

Deanlee Management bought the land in 2007.

At the time, there were plans to build 750 units, but the City of Hamilton opposed the plan and suggested 450 instead.

The OMB has approved a revised proposal saying the development is compatible with the neighbourhood.
