Hamilton officer gets bail

A ten-year veteran of the Hamilton Police force has been released on $5,000 bail.

Constable Doug Sephton is charged with uttering threats while off duty.

However he was already suspended from duty, facing about 15 police act charges from earlier incidents.

That includes two drunk driving arrests, making false 911 calls and sending an abusive text to another officer.
