The firefighter charged with running a red light in a deadly crash that killed a Mississauga woman has been acquitted.

42 year old Kimberly Schulz died instantly after her car was hit in an intersection by a fire truck heading to an emergency in March of last year.

Jarrett Johns was the firefighter driving the fire truck, and was charged six weeks after the accident.

Monday, a Justice of the Peace ruled it was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he had run the red light.
