Cyclist hit in Burlington

A 60 year old Burlington man is in hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car while riding his bike.

It happened just before six Thursday night in the intersection of King Road and North Shore Boulevard in Aldershot.

The man was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital.

The 51 year old Burlington woman who was driving the car and her 16 year old passenger were not hurt.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
