Police in St. Catharines are looking for the woman who held up a Scotia Bank branch Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 10 at the Scotiabank at the corner of Welland and Niagara.

Police say a woman in her mid 20s walked in, claimed to be armed and fled when a teller gave her some cash.

She’s described as white, mid-to-late 20s, about 5′ 6″ and slim with blonde to light brown long hair.

She was wearing a three-quarter length sheepskin coat, sweat pants, a blue/grey toque, white gloves, multi-coloured scarf, large brown sunglasses and was carrying a burgundy purse.
