Liberty Village murder

Police are also investigating a fatal stabbing in Toronto’s Liberty Village.

They say 24 year old Mike Pimentel had been at a party.

When leaving the party with a group of friends, he fell behind the group while extending others best wishes.

It appears he then got into a disagreement near east Liberty Street and Hanna Avenue around 3 Sunday afternoon.

He later died in hospital of his wounds.

Police and the family held a news conference at 1pm Monday appealing for people to come forward with information.
