Barton Street stabbing

Police are still looking for a man after a stabbing in central Hamilton overnight.

It happened in an alley that runs from Barton all the way to Cannon Street.

Police received a call just after 1am Tueaday.

They say a 35 year old woman was stabbed several times.

She was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital and quickly taken into surgery.
