Jewelry robbery suspects snatched

Hamilton Police have arrested five men after an armed robbery at a Dundas jewelery store last week.
Kevin Martin Fine Jewelery was held up last Thursday evening by three masked men armed with a sawed off shot gun. Police say two of the men ordered a woman working at the store to place jewelery from a display case into a bag, while the third man emptied the cash from the register. The men took off and no one was hurt.
On Monday, Anthony Clark, 26; Jason Long, 18; and 20 year old Ronald Staats – all from Hamilton – were arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent.
Police say their investigation lead them to a home on Gertrude Street in Hamilton last night where they found the gun and made a fourth arrest. A 34 year old Hamilton man is now facing several weapons charges, including possession of a prohibited weapon.
A fifth man – a 26-year-old from Hamilton – was arrested after he was found with some of the stolen jewelery.
