Woman dies from Friday accident

A woman who was hit by a moving van in a Hamilton parking lot on Friday, has died of her injuries.

Police say the 78 year old woman was walking through the U-haul parking lot at Barton and Nash when she was hit by a truck that was backing up.

The 65 year old driver stopped but then drove forward, hitting her a second time.

The woman was rushed to hospital where she died over the weekend.

No charges have been laid.
