Poppy boxes stolen

Two donation boxes for poppies were stolen from a couple of Tim Horton’s in Hamilton on Thursday.

Police believe the boxes were stolen by the same person.

Just before six, a man walked into a Tim’s on Ottawa Street North and ran off with the poppy box on the front counter.

Less than 30 minutes later a poppy box and money was taken from a Tim’s on King Street West.

The money has not been recovered.

Meanwhile, Toronto police are looking for a man suspected of taking a poppy box from a pizza store and have released a security camera image.

It happened just before midnight on Monday at the Pizza Nova on the Queensway.
