Woman killed in Selkirk crash

A woman is dead and two sons in hospital after crash


A 38-year old Selkirk woman is dead after the van she was driving struck a farm combine in wainfleet.
The van was travelling westbound on Forks road between Deeks road and Hewitt road just after seven o’clock last night.
Police say the combine was driving in a legal manner with flashing lights when it was struck from behind by the van.
The impact crushed the front of the van and forced one of the large wheels off the combine.
The woman driving the van died at the scene.
Her 10 year old and 13 year old sons were treated at hospital in Welland for minor injuries.
