Two charged in Hamilton mugging

Two people have been arrested for allegedly assaulting and mugging a teenage boy in downtown Hamilton.

Police say a woman lured the 19 year old boy behind a business on Cannon Street East.

As he walked towards her, another man came out and started pushing him.

The woman then smashed a bottle on the back of his head.

The teen tried to run away but the pair caught up to him, pushed him to the ground again and stole money from his wallet.

Hamilton Police later arrested 30 year old Terry Wilson of Hamilton and 26 year old Lauren Joe of no fixed addressed.

Both are facing robbery and assault charges.
