Fraud alert in Brantford

Brantford police are warning the public about a vacation draw scam.

Several people have complained that after entering a draw at this year’s Ribfest.

They were contacted by someone saying they’d won a trip.

The person then told them to forward $200 for administrative costs.

Police say they’ve been unable to verify the draw’s legitimacy and are advising people not to send any money.
