Firey motorcycle crash claims off-duty cop

An off-duty Toronto police officer is the latest person to die in a crash this summer.

It happened near highway 50 and highway 7, east of Brampton.
York Regional Police say the driver of the motorcycle – Constable Riccardo Torchia – was pronounced dead at the scene.
