Vaughan crash kills 1, injures 5

Tractor-trailer collides with car in Highway 7 – Weston Road intersection.
One person’s been killed and one man has been airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital.
Three other passengers in the Honda Accord were driven by ambulance to hospital with minor injuries.
The truck driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police have closed the intersection and the north and southbound ramps from Highway 400 to westbound 7 for their investigation.
Witnesses to the early morning crash are urged to call police.
