Burlington honours Ron Foxcroft

An accomplished basketball referee who developed the pealess whistle while operating a trucking company was recognized for his achievements Thursday in Burlington.

Ron Foxcroft, founder and CEO of Fluke transportation and Fox 40 international, was given Burlington’s 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year award at a gala dinner. In his acceptance speech, Foxcroft shared his five tips for entrepreneurial success.

Previous recipients include Harry Voortman, Mark Chamberlain, Michael Lee-Chin, Michael DeGroote Senior, Ron Joyce and Murray Hogarth.
