A Fort Erie couple is homeless after their house was destroyed by fire Friday.

As Lauran Sabourin reports, they’ve not only lost almost everything they own: but their two cats as well.

As a result of that fire, residents living in the Kingsmill-Catherine streets neighbourhood are being advised their drinking water might be contaminated with bacteria. Staff will be flushing and sampling the water over the weekend, and will also be delivering drinking water to homes as needed.
