Cop on stand: Michael Dixon was the right man

A Hamilton Police officer was on the hot seat Wednesday at a civil trial against him and the Hamilton Police Services Board over the unlawful arrest of Michael Dixon.

Dixon was the black man taken into custody – despite the description of a while man as the suspect in a jewelry store robbery. As Amanda Blitz explains — despite the fact the officer had previously pleaded guilty to Police Act misconduct charges — he still says the man he caught was the culprit.
