The Niagara College teaching brewery held it’s official opening Wednesday.

The teaching brewery at the Niagara-On-The-Lake campus is the first and only one of its kind in Canada.

The 15 hundred square foot micro-brewery allows students to brew their own craft beer on campus and get hands on training in beer making.

The brewery uses local products whenever it can including honey and fruit flavourings.

Even though the official opening was Wednesday, the brewery has been teaching students since the beginning of the school year.
